Version:
1.19
Released:
May 23, 2026
Today's update focuses on responsiveness and visual cleanup. We’re giving you instant UI feedback when tracking your TV shows, layering in more context on our Collection pages, and eliminating raw data leaks like unformatted file names and irrelevant blank metrics. We're also officially updating our documentation to recognize the amazing community artwork that helps power our database.
Improvement
Instant Action Feedback: To make tracking your TV show progress feel even smoother, we’ve added a loading spinner that triggers the moment you mark an episode as watched on your "Up Next" list. No more wondering if your click went through—you’ll get instant visual confirmation while the database updates in the background.
Improvement
Franchise Flavors: We’ve added the top three genres directly to our Collection pages. Now, when you look at a massive franchise or cinematic universe, you’ll get an instant snapshot of its overall thematic vibe right alongside the other metadata.
Fix
No Revenue, No Box Office: When a Collection features Movies that exclusively debuted on streaming platforms, standard Box Office data obviously doesn't exist. We’ve updated our code to recognise this nuance and automatically hide the Box Office section in these specific cases, ensuring our data panels stay relevant and clean.
Fix
Stripping the Metadata: We caught a bug where certain posters were mistakenly displaying their raw, unformatted image file names as text captions underneath the artwork. We’ve scrubbed that metadata away to preserve the premium, distraction-free aesthetic of our title galleries.
Fix
Giving Credit: We’ve officially updated our Terms and Conditions to formally include and credit our use of the incredible artwork sourced from The Poster Database. We love showcasing their beautiful, high-quality posters across the platform and want to ensure proper attribution is baked into our legal pages.
Eliminating dead data fields and sharpening our interface responsiveness keeps us moving fast toward our 2026 goal of a pristine, elite Movie and TV Show tracker. Every visual fix ensures that CINERS looks like a professional encyclopedia rather than a work-in-progress database. Keep marking those episodes off your lists, and stay tuned for the next feature drop!
