1. The CINERS Ticket (Accounts & Privacy)

To start tracking and rating, you’ll need to create an account. Think of it as your personal cinema diary.

• Logged Out: Anyone can browse the database and see the details of any movie or show.

• Logged In: Only registered members can track their progress and rate titles.

• Privacy: Your watchlists and watched lists are private. We believe your viewing habits are your business. However, when you rate a show, your score is tossed into the “Community Pot.” We show an average score for a title, but we will never publicly single out your specific rating.

2. Our “Source Material” (Metadata & Accuracy)

We don’t have a team of thousands typing in every release date. We fetch our data from the pros: TMDB, OMDB, Fanart.tv, TheTVDB, and TV Maze.

• The Accuracy Clause: While we strive for perfection, we are not liable for inaccuracies. Release dates change, casts are swapped, and sometimes a TV show finale might get “spoiled” by a metadata update. We provide this info “as-is”—if an air date is wrong, don’t throw your popcorn at us!

3. Intellectual Property: Protect the Script

• Our House: We’ve worked hard on the design and structure of CINERS. Scraping our database, UI, or site architecture is strictly forbidden. If we catch a bot trying to steal our “source code” or layout, they’ll be permanently banned.

• The Studios’ House: We do not own the movie posters, backdrops, or trailers you see. Those belong to the respective studios and copyright holders. We are simply the gallery displaying their art via the APIs mentioned above.

4. Community Standards & The “Ban-Hammer”

We want to keep CINERS a clean, automated-free zone.

• Bots: The use of bots to scrape data or manipulate ratings is a one-way ticket to a permanent ban.

• Account Termination: We reserve the right to delete any account that breaches these terms or interferes with the site’s performance, without prior notice.

5. Age & Content Responsibility

• No Stream, Just Screen: CINERS does not host or provide watchable movies or episodes. We are a tracking and database service only.

• Video Content: Any trailers or videos on our site are embedded via YouTube. The responsibility for age-gating and content compliance lies with the original uploader on YouTube, not with CINERS.

6. Legal Credits (Governing Law)

CINERS is proudly based in South Africa. Any legal disputes or disagreements will be handled according to the laws of South Africa.
