Version:
1.30
Released:
June 17, 2026
This is, without a doubt, one of the biggest updates we have shipped for CINERS. Having recently migrated to our powerful new server, we didn't just tweak a few settings. We seized the opportunity to tear down and rebuild both our entire frontend and backend codebases from the ground up for absolute maximum performance. This release introduces instant streaming availability icons directly on posters, major query optimizations, seamless visual updates for your "Up Next" list, and many quality-of-life bug fixes. The platform has never been faster, cleaner, or more capable.
New
Where to Watch at a Glance: Finding where to stream just became instantaneous. When you hover over any Movie or TV Show poster across the site, the icon for its most popular streaming network will now dynamically appear in the top-left corner. We’ve also brought this feature to your Up Next list, making the streaming network permanently visible in the corner of your episode thumbnails so you know exactly where to watch the next episode.
Improvement
Next-Gen Optimization: Our new server infrastructure has unlocked total architectural freedom. We’ve audited and re-engineered every single line of backend and frontend code across the entire platform. While some of these changes live entirely under the hood, this structural rewrite guarantees maximum stability and peak performance for every feature on the site.
Improvement
Intelligent Queries: We’ve completely optimized the logic that dynamically handles the Related Content sliders on all Movie and TV Show pages. By streamlining how the database fetches these suggestions, the sliders and the entire title pages they live on now load significantly faster.
Improvement
Polished Tracking: We’ve rolled out targeted layout updates to the Up Next list. Desktop users will notice subtle layout improvements, while mobile users will experience a much cleaner, finger-friendly interface designed to make updating your daily viewing habits flawless on the go.
Improvement
Defeating Deep-Catalog Lag: Massive, extensive catalog grids (query loops) can severely drain load times. To keep things running light and fast, we’ve implemented standard Pagination (Previous & Next) controls across all heavy catalog directories, drastically reducing page sizes and boosting navigation speeds.
Fix
Clean Timelines: We patched a logic bug where a movie sharing the exact same calendar date for its Theatrical and Digital debuts would display duplicate release entries. The layout will now intelligently compress these instances into a single, clean date line.
Fix
No More Blank Hover Data: Previously, movies and TV shows without a confirmed release date would leave awkward, blank gaps when searching or hovering over posters. We have corrected this site-wide to cleanly display 'TBA', keeping our metadata layouts consistent and complete.
Fix
Flawless Navigation: We caught and resolved an intermittent tracking bug where certain "dead zones" on poster cards would fail to register clicks when hovering. We’ve completely restored the hitboxes so that clicking anywhere on a poster instantly routes you straight to the title.
Fix
Standardized Scores: We’ve unified our score displays across the platform. TMDB, Trakt, the Tomatometer, and the Popcornmeter will now properly showcase their trailing percentage symbols (%). Additionally, we fixed an aesthetic quirk where single-digit Letterboxd ratings looked uneven alongside other metrics—all whole numbers will now perfectly format to include their decimal points.
Rebuilding an entire platform from scratch is an incredible undertaking, but it is exactly the kind of structural leap required to fulfill our 2026 goal of establishing the premier media tracker on the web. By marrying our brand-new server capacity with optimized, pristine code, CINERS is now faster and more intuitive than it has ever been. Dive into your lists, check out the new streaming network badges on your dashboard, and enjoy the absolute peak speed of the database!
