I am not sure why this movie is getting this much hate. It is really a quite decent bit of horror with an intriguing premise that delivers well on its promises. The casting is lovely, the directing is good and the effects are more than ok. It is an unsettling thing, and does not lean into the body-horror too much. Also, it is fun to see a movie just 'go with it' and not try to explain everything that is in the movie at every possible point. Keeping it character-driven makes the tension a lot more relatable.
