Artist and graphics designer Patience Phillips is a meek people-pleaser who works for cosmetics company Hedare Beauty. When she overhears a discussion between a scientist and Laurel Hedare about the dangerous side effects from continued use of their product, guards discover and attempt to murder her. Mysteriously brought back to life by an Egyptian Mau cat, Patience develops superhuman abilities and becomes a vengeful vigilante, Catwoman.
