He tells Talla that he is attracted to her, but in secret, since being attracted to females is stigmatized on Moclus, and would result in a prison sentence. Klyden confronts him about his sexual orientation, and later becomes the suspect for his murder.

After Isaac suddenly shuts down, the USS Orville journeys to his home world of Kaylon 1 in an attempt to save him. While there, Captain Mercer takes the opportunity to try to convince Kaylon leadership to join the Planetary Union. Ty makes a gruesome discovery.

Kaylon leadership overpowers the crew of The Orville, then they lead a Kaylon armada to Earth for a battle to eliminate all biological life.
